Things are looking up for the real estate market in the Lake Norman/Mooresville North Carolina region.Laughing Sales in January of 2010 have more than doubled compared to January of 2009 while days on market for existing home sales have decreased by over 1 month!  Average sale prices have increased a bit while the list price to sale price ratio is 93%. Take a look at last month's sales as compared to last year...the numbers speak for themselves . All data was taken from the Carolina MLS which is usually very accurate.

The average number of days on the market decreased from 193 during the stated time period in 2009 to 165 for the same period in 2010. Foreclosures, short sales and distressed properties continue to capture a considerable share of the sales in January. Sales prices for January 1 thru January 31 were $463,097 as compared to $454,779 in January 2009. There are currently 1235 homes for sale in the Lake Norman area. A qualified buyer can still  find an awesome home for the money here at Lake Norman!
