Distressed properties continue to dominate Outer Banks North Carolina real estate. Prospective buyers searching for bargains on Outer Banks real estate are attracted to bank owned prroperty and potential short sales. According to statistics released by the Outer Banks Association of REALTORS, distressed properties accounted for 59% of sales closed in December 2009. Potential short sales accounted for 14% of Outer Banks North Carolina real estate sales in December while 59% of our sales were bank owned properties.
