Atlanta Commercial Real Estate - Aviation park envisioned near Atlanta

Jacoby development anounced a 122 acre mixed use project in the Atlanta commercial real estate area. The Aerotropolis is an estimated 1.5 billion dollar project built out over 10 years. The project is looking at using solar panels and wind technology along with government tax credits and incentives to build green with LEED certified standards.Currently the site is where the former Ford Motor assembly plant was and is undergoing a 20 million dollar site remediation.

 

The company is also looking into (Plasma Arc Gasification) where you take landfills and heat up the trash to 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit to vaporize it and turn it into a gas to generate electricity. The project is said to be hoping to bring many new jobs and tax revenues to the Atlanta Commercial Real Estate market.
