Searching for a home in Greeley Colorado on all sorts of different websites by Marc Oster
Have you been searching for a home in Greeley only to find that by the time you call to go see the home it is under contract?
Did you know most property search websites have the listings delayed by up to two or three days? Sometimes even more. This even includes the big real estate websites like Realtor.com Many great priced properties in Greeley have offers on them within a day on the market.
I had a foreclosure listing a couple of months ago that within 2 hours of listing it I had an agent calling to set up a showing on it. I didn't even know that agent and hadn't told him that it was on the market. Within 2 days on that listing I had 5 offers. That was most likely before it was even on Realtor.com. About 5 days later a lady called and asked to see the property. She just found it online as her agent was to busy to look for her. I told her I was sorry the property was under contract and that she should probably find a new agent.
How does this happen? Well most property search websites get their listings from the local multiple listing service. I tracked once how long it took for one of my listings to get to Realtor.com. It took 2 days and then a 3rd to get the pictures there.
