Forest Lakes Charlottesville Virginia--Hollymead Town Center Construction
The construction has again begun to show signs of activity--lots of earth being moved around by huge trucks and tractors, men walking around with hard hats--here are a couple recent pictures of the work being done on the Kohl's site in Hollymead Town Center across from Starbucks:

And here's a picture of the new commercial area being started down the road a bit, across from Lowes and Chix-Fil-A on 29 North:

They are also in the final stages of a Red Lobster (stand alone) near the intersection of Rte 29 and Rio Rd east right in front of the Fashion Square Mall.
So, does this Forest Lakes Charlottesville Virginia--Hollymead Town Center Construction mean the economy is back on the rise? Does this help make the case for a strengthening Charlottesville real estate market?
Not really, sorry. Many of these projects have been planned for some time and I think it's more of a case of owners preferring to start the building process rather than lapse and have to start permitting, etc. all over, or just pay on loans with nothing on land.
