Myth #2-All Realtors® market homes the same.
Nothing could be farther from the truth about property marketing in the Pekin Real Estate market. Gone are the days of snapping a few photos, placing it in the local MLS, putting out a sign and wait for the buyers to come running in droves. As in all industries, the real estate industry has evolved and so has the way of marketing homes.
If you Realtor® is continuing to market homes the way they did in the 80's and 90's, you may want to keep interviewing.
Recent studies have shown that approximately 80-85% of potential buyers begin their search on the internet. What kind of prescence does your Realtor® have on the internet. Do they have a website, do they blog, do they create single property websites, do they create virtual tours ?
Do they use 800 numbers to create an audio tour of your home and allow potential buyers to call in and listen to what your home has to offer ?
What kind of print advertising do they do ? Do they create and mail out "Just Listed" cards ? Do they advertise in the paper....homes guides ?
Do they market towards smartphone users ? Do they do brokers open houses ? Do they do public open houses ?
You see....the list goes on and on and on. Find out exactly what the Realtor® is going to do to "MARKET" your home.
All Realtors® DO NOT market homes the same ! Find a Realtor® that is current with their marketing and takes an aggressive and current appraoch to getting your home SOLD !
