Just Another Sales Gimmick In Charlottesville, VA
O.K., you may think this is just another sales gimmick to try and drum up some business, and I guess, in a way, it is.
But I really want to start a dialogue with you about your take on buying a home. I mean, I want to talk to you if you're thinking about buying a home in Central Virginia right now, but are a little nervous, still on the fence. Or, I want to get your feedback if you’ve decided to throw in the towel and rent rather than buy. Is your decision based on the current economic crisis, or something else?
I want to know your thinking and what factors are weighing heaviest on your mind? I want to hear from you. I want your take on our current housing market in and around Charlottesville and Albemarle County, Virginia.
Why do I care?
Because I'm a Realtor.
And as a Realtor, my mindset has always been that owning a home is the end all to beat all.
As a Realtor, I think NOW is a great time to buy because of the downturn in the market.
I've been practicing real estate for almost 20 years and my experience leads me to believe this is the time to buy because money is still available, and, by this time next year, it could be near impossible to get any kind of financing. Lenders will continue to impose stricter qualifications and lending guidelines further hampering borrowers ability to get financing.
But you expect me to say all this, right? Because I'm a Realtor.
Well...I want to hear your thoughts. What's your take on the market? Help me understand through your eyes and your vantage point. Help me peel away limiting, 2 dimensional sales perspectives. Share with me so that I can tailor my services and better accommodate my future client's needs.
I don't want to be just a salesman showing the open house to the customer who pops in through an ad.
I don't want to just blunder through a sales relationship with a person, intent on selling them something, without really understanding their whys.
Sales gimmick? Perhaps you could look at it that way. But my sales success has always been achieved by listening to my buyers, researching market trends, and adjusting my services to best suit their needs.
