The Pekin Public Library will have a "Holiday Movie Week" from Monday, December 20, to Thursday, December 23, at 2 pm each day in the Community Room. For more information, call the Youth Services Desk at 309-347-7111 extension 3.

The Pekin Public Library will have a New Year's Party for Tweens at 6pm Wedneday, December 29 in the Community Room. A Salvation Army Christmas Celebration will be held at the Kiwanis Club of Pekin meeting at noon Tuesday, December 21, at the Pekin Country Club. Along with music, an update on the Salvation Army will be presented. The K of the day will be Sylvia Chen, owner of Fast Dragon restaurant.
