Lethbridge Real Estate Sales off to a Smashing Start in 2011
Lethbridge real estate sales are off to a great start in 2011. We're seeing movement in all price ranges and showings on properties that have not seen interest in months. It's been a long winter so far and the general concensus is that we've accepted it. There are a lot of Lethbridge homes for sale still, but they're now seeing more activity than they have in some time.
For example, there have been more Lethbridge homes conditionally sold in the first couple weeks of January than were conditionally sold in all of December. That's really saying something given the weather we've had!
What are the predictions for the summer and spring? Well, as always it's hard to tell, but all signs are pointing towards prices starting to increase. We've got stable interest rates, the strongest job numbers since before the recession, and stabelized prices in 2010. This should bring confidence to the Lethbridge real estate market and help it get more balanced, which is a fundamental requirement before price increases can occur.
This will also mean a diminishing number of lisitings in 2011. This will mean Lethbridg home Buyers will have less choice when buying, but will also make buying decisions easier and further establish confidence in the Lethbridge housing market.
