The Canadian dollar closed the day on the foreign exchange market being worth 1.0218 American dollars or 1 US dollar being worth 0.9787 Canadian, this being a gain of 47 ponts. The Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) closed at 14052.13 up + 184.82 a gain of (+1.33%), The Dow Jones closed at 12130.45 up + 61.95 a gain of (+0.51%).
