Utah Not in This List!

Utah is not ranked in the Top Ten list of Highest Mortgage Fraud States according to the 11th Annual Mortgage Asset Research Institute (MARI) report released this month.
Utah was ranked fifth in MARI's Top Ten list released last spring, which prompted the Department of Commerce and the Mortgage Fraud Task Force to focus on putting those involved in fraudulent loan practices out of business in Utah.  We all benefit from minimizing the criminal few from preying on those just trying to move ahead to create a better life for them and their families.

This year's report ranks Rhode Island number one for mortgage fraud followed by Florida, Illinois, Georgia, Maryland, New York, Michigan, California, Missouri and Colorado.
