Pekin AMVETS Post will open its kitchen to offer a homemade sandwich menu beginning at 5 p.m. every Friday and Saturday at the post, 1426 S. Second St.

The menu includes hamburgers, tenderloins, chicken wings and strips, French fries and other items.

Live entertainment will be offered beginning at 8 p.m. every Friday. The next event, May 27, will feature Big Silver Derailed.
