Naples Florida Real Estate Information Series

If you are thinking of selling your home with a real estate agent you will need to sign a listing agreement. A listing agreement is a personal contract between you and a licensed real estate broker. It describes the property to be sold and the terms it will be sold under. You give the broker permission to market the property for a set period of time and agree to pay them a commission for presenting you with a qualified buyer. The most popular form of a listing agreement is the "exclusive right to sell" agreement. It gives the listing broker exclusive right to advertise the home for sale.
