Round Rock Texas Real Estate Tips - Home Searching on the Internet - Part Two
In Part One of this series we talked about creating your list of "must-haves", "nice-but-not-necessary", and "definitely-not-under-any-circumstance" items that you want in your new home. In this post, we will briefly talk about doing the same thing for your new neighborhood.
Round Rock, TX, like many towns, has a broad range of neighborhoods. Round Rock began as an "Old West" town and here you will find everything from stone cabins built in the 1800's to brand new subdivision homes with all of the most modern conveniences. Lot sizes range from condominium and townhomes with no lot, to homes with acreage.
Start with the neighborhood where you are now living and make a list of the things that you like and dislike. Decide what neighborhood features are important to you in your next neighborhood. Think of schools, parks, libraries, etc. Do you like to walk or jog? What about sports activities (Round Rock is billed as the "Sports Capital of Texas")? Do you insist upon tall trees or would you prefer the wide-open spaces? Do you want your neighbors ten feet to either side, or do you want a bit more space between houses?
When you finish this exercise, you will have a complete description of what you want in your next home and neighborhood. In Part Three, we will talk about how you can use the internet and the tools you will find at www.Round-Rock-HomeStore.com to find exactly the home that you want in Round Rock.
