Langley BC Real Estate - Golden Ears Bridge opening two weeks ahead of schedule

The new crossing is set to open to pedestrians on June 14 and to traffic on June 15. Vehicles will be able to cross it toll-free for 30 days. After that, drivers will need to pay a toll and can get a discount by registering for a Quickpass transponder, an electronic tolling device that can be leased from TransLink for $1 a month.

With a transponder, the discounted toll is $2.85 for most standard vehicles. If you don't register or lease a transponder, you will be billed $4 by mail after the bridge's digital camera snaps a photo of your rear licence plate. To register your vehicle, email customercare@quickpasstolling.ca, phone 604.460.5050 (toll-free 1.877.299.0599), go to www.translink.ca > Quickpass, or visit one of the two Customer Service Centres on either side of the bridge in Langley and in Pitt Meadows - addresses are on Translink's website.
