Salt Lake City is in the state of Utah which is one of the most beautiful states in the country!  We have alpine forests, crystal clear rivers and red rock desert – in fact we have a little bit of everything, except oceanfront property!  Never know…that may happen too some day.  Yikes!

Anyway, as like many states in the union, there are some pretty whacky names of cities all across Utah.  In 1997 Robert Lund wrote a parody of the Beach Boys song “Kokomo” using Utah small towns and a few ghost towns rather than Carribean locations.  In 2005, Stephen Groo of Wolf Productions took his family on 4,659 miles' worth of road trips to hit all the spots in the song. Their rockumentary  is a great video tha’s been played over 130,000 times on YouTube alone and has been featured on KSL-TV News and ABC 4 News.  Check it out!
