Are we through the worst of the real estate crunch?  According to a lot of press the light at the end of the tunnel is near, although… is that true? 

Here in the High Desert we are looking at some of the lowest prices seen in over 10 years and in California the most affordable real estate region in the state.  Sales have been, to say the least, robust with multiple offers on most properties that have been put up for sale over the last few months.  It currently feels like we are headed into a seller’s market…BUT WAIT!  What about all of those homes that are not on the market for sale and all of the potential new foreclosures that are coming?

Can prices go lower and if they do will real estate buying soar above current levels?  If they do what kind of mayhem will it create in the market?  Will an increase in inventory slow down the home buying activity?  How soon and at what pace will we see new inventory enter the market for sale.  How high and how soon will interest rate rise?  Will new buyers continue to enter the market?  All of the above are questions to consider.
