When you are selling your Central Ohio urban or suburban home it is critical to try to reach the buyer at an emotional level. Many home sales are based on an emotional feeling towards the property, and putting some effort towards making your home feel warm and inviting is worth your time. You will probably see your home sell much quicker with just a few efforts to connect with the buyer emotionally!
Plants
Plans can stimulate deep feelings in most individuals, so it is a good idea to have them available in your home and placed in strategic positions. Of course, you want your plants to be healthy and well maintained. A plant that is wilting and dying will have the exact opposite effect upon potential buyers, but a lively plant will touch them. They will have a warmer feeling towards your home and they will most often not even be aware of why they feel that way. Be careful, however, not to overdo the plants to the point of distracting from the other appealing features of your home.
Don't be afraid to put some plants outside as well. This will definitely improve the curb appeal of your Central Ohio home. If you have a bare front porch you may want to consider buying a nice plant to set near the doorway. It is these little touches that help sell your home faster!
Animals
This can be a very touchy subject! A lot of people get a warm fuzzy feeling from animals, but a lot of people do not like certain kinds of animals, and will not even consider buying a home if they know that this kind of animal has been living there. Although you love your pets, it is best to keep them (and any odors, hair, or litter boxes) out of your home when you are doing viewings.
On the other hand, cute animal pictures and portraits can have a positive effect on your viewers. It is quite different to have a picture of an animal than the real thing. Having some heartwarming animal pictures hanging on the walls can create an atmosphere of warmth in the home.
Although subtle, these points can affect your prospective buyers without them even being aware of it! Take some time to improve the emotional quality of your Columbus, Ohio home as you are taking the time to improve its physical properties and you are setting yourself up for a very quick sale.
